The Watertown Rapids travel softball organization have announced tryout dates for their 16U and 18U teams for the 2019 season.

The 16U team will hold tryouts on July 25th at 6pm at Veterans Park, 570 Nova Scotia Hill Rd. Watertown, Field #1 In the event of rain the tryouts will be held at our indoor training facility located at 27 Main St Oakville 2nd floor. The 18U team is holding tryouts on August 4th at Veterans Park, field #1 from 5-7pm. The rain date is August 5th from 5-7pm. For information and to pre-register call George Palomba at 860-483-6402.

The Watertown Rapids are a premier travel softball organization. Players are coached by experienced high school and college coaches as well as former college players. The organization offers a complete indoor facility with 2 floors of hitting, pitching and fielding areas that can be used by our players year round.​

The Watertown Rapids provides an atmosphere where players will learn the fundamentals and knowledge of fast pitch softball as well as LEADERSHIP, DISCIPLINE, RESPECT, and SPORTSMANSHIP.

 The Rapids train year round at our indoor training facility located at the Old Pin Shop, 27 Main St. Oakville, CT.  The facility includes state of the art pitching machines, pitching tunnels, fielding area and tee and soft toss cages.  All Rapids players have access to the facility to work out with their teams at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!

  

RAPIDS NEWS:

18U Rapids travel to Sterling Virginia for Pony Nationals - The 18U team advanced to the Sweet 16 Round of the Pony National Championship Tournament.  The team received a bid for Nationals by winning a qualifier tournament earlier this year.  The Rapids played 9 games in 3 days while advancing to the round of 16.  Congratulations girls on a very strong performance at Nationals. 

18U Player Receives Pony College Scholarship - Congratulations to Emily Stratton who received a Pony scholarship award in the amount of $2,500 toward her college education.  Emily was awarded the scholarship at Pony Nationals in Sterling Virginia.


RAPIDS 18U WINS TOURNAMENT

The 18U Watertown Rapids captured the Summer Swing tournament championship by beating the Mirage Gold 18U team by a score of 7-1.  The team will travel to Sterling Virginia to compete in Pony Nationals 

The 16U Rapids captured a tournament championship this past weekend in Westerly Rhode Island.  They to will travel to Sterling Virginia to compete in Pony Nationals
